Goodnight, Daddy

Ralph Waite was the iconic American father. He represented the best of what we all wish for as the head of the family – strong, loving, honest, loyal, not to mention the twinkle in what he grinningly referred to as his “baby blues”.  He will be remembered for a career that spanned over 40 years highlighted by his portrayal of my TV father “John Walton”.  He was a co-worker, a friend, and the best TV Dad I could have asked for.  I will miss him.
